Council Venues

MAKING A BOOKING WITH COUNCIL

Wagga Wagga City Council offers a range of facilities to the public for hire including parks, sports grounds, halls and signage locations.  So, whether you are seeking something big or small, Wagga Wagga City Council can cater for you!

Council venues can be reserved for a number of reasons. Parks are regularly booked for weddings and naming days.  Sports grounds can be booked for seasonal or casual hire.  Halls accommodate a variety of community groups, individuals and private businesses with regular activities, or meetings for regular and casual hire.  Entrance signs display a welcome message to visitors to our city.

All persons wishing to book a Council venue must read through the conditions for use, complete the appropriate application forms and return them to bookings@wagga.nsw.gov.au

BOOKING A PARK LOCATION

Prior to booking, you need to ensure you know the venue, date and time.  In order to book a location in a park, you need to apply to Council in writing by completing the 'application for hire of Council/Reserves’ Form .

BOOKING A COUNCIL COMMUNITY CENTRE OR HALL

There is a range of halls available to book through Wagga Wagga City Council. If you wish to book a Council Centre or Hall you are required to complete the application for Council Community Centre or Hall

 Council is responsible for hiring the following:

  • Glenfield Community Centre
  • Lake Albert Community Centre
  • Senior Citizens Centre

The halls accommodate a variety of community activities including tai chi, karate, art, drama classes, sewing groups and meetings. However they are NOT hired for parties. Hiring a Council Community Centre or Hall will incur a fee. These fees can be found in the 'Council’s Fees and Charges Document'.

Additionally, there are other halls within the district which can be privately hired through 'other clubs and associations'.

BOOKING A SPORTS GROUND

Sports grounds can be used for a number of reasons, training, regular season activities and casual activities. There are a number of fields which you can choose from, the fields can be found here.  To book a particular sports ground the 'Sportground booking formmust be completed and returned. If you are requiring the sports grounds at night, be sure to complete the 'Lights booking formtoo.
